The raw material used comes directly from household waste recycling and consists entirely of recycled glass. It is ecological because we can avoid natural resources that would otherwise be used.
Efficient filter glass
It removes 30% more materials and pollutants than sand. This saves wash water and residual water, as well as heating and chemical treatment costs.
No pollutants
It is less susceptible to biofuels. Thermally treated surfaces are smooth and require less corrective action and fewer chemical treatments to remove contaminants.
Economical filter medium
It takes 20% less material to fill the same filter. This is because glass is less dense than sand. The density may vary from supplier to supplier depending on the origin of the sand.
Sustainable
Waterco's filter material has undergone a specific heat treatment process to deteriorate more slowly and therefore last longer. Glass is a filter material that operates on the principle of "deep filtration." Impurities pass through the filter bed and become trapped in small spaces between the particles of the filter media, allowing the filtered water to pass through the filter bed.
