What are the major pool robot brands?
The main pool robot brands are Zodiac, Hayward, Maytronics and Kokido. Here Zodiac is the most popular brand in our range, closely followed by Maytronics' Dolphin pool robots. All these brands have their own advantages and disadvantages, for example in terms of price, quality and operation. To know which brand suits you best, we therefore definitely recommend that you do your own research. Of course, we are happy to advise you on this! Please contact our customer service, so that we can tell you all about the options.
What is the best pool robot?
Of course, "the best" is somewhat subjective, but the Zodiac Alpha iQ Pro series pool robots have already boasted the title of "best pool robot" several times! These robots are equipped with a smart navigation system, so they know exactly what the bottom of your pool looks like. Thus, they do not skip a corner. Moreover, they are perfectly capable of climbing up the walls of your pool and also cleaning the water line. So with Zodiac pool robots, you have almost no worries about maintaining your pool!
How are pool robots powered?
How pool robots are powered varies by model. Some robots run on batteries, so they need to be recharged. Other robots can be plugged into the wall outlet with a power cord, so you never have to worry about them running low. Just remember to remove your pool robot from the pool after cleaning though, as prolonged contact with water can accelerate the wear and tear process!
What should you look for when choosing a pool robot?
In your consideration for a particular type of pool robot, it may be wise to consider a number of things. These include:
- The cleaning method: brushes, vacuums or both?
- The energy supply: battery or power cable?
- The functionalities: do you have to set the route yourself, does the robot scan your pool, can it climb the walls of your pool?
- The price range: pool robots are available at prices between about 250 and 2,500 euros.
Vacuuming your pool manually?
Pool robots can be somewhat pricey, we understand. While they can be a good investment, you may also prefer to keep your pool clean manually anyway. For that reason, you will also find pool vacuum cleaners and other cleaning accessories in our range, for a hygienic pool.
