The HI7024 checkers are a simple, accurate and cost-effective way to measure high and low ranges of copper. Designed as a more accurate alternative to chemical test kits, the HI702 and HI747 provide fast, accurate results in four easy steps.

The HI7024 use a modification of the EPA method. The reaction between copper and the bicinchoninate reagent causes a purple tint in the sample.

Simple operation

  1. Add a sample to the cuvette provided.
  2. Insert the cuvette into the checker and press the button.
  3. Remove the cuvette and add reagent.
  4. Insert the cuvette again and hold down the button for three seconds. The measurement will be taken automatically.

You can measure this with a photometer for free copper. If your copper levels are too high, you should also measure the pH and adjust as needed. A copper remover or chlorshock can also help in this case.
