Effective filtering
This sand filter pump keeps your pool water moving, giving algae, bacteria and fungi virtually no chance to develop. Your pool water is completely circulated with this pump in about 4 hours. Of course, depending on the size of your pool. The pump pumps the pool water through a filter vessel, which must be filled with filter sand. This filter medium is much more effective than a filter cartridge; fine particles are better captured. This keeps your swimming water fresher, cleaner and clearer. Moreover, the filter sand of this pump only needs to be replaced once every few years, where a cartridge needs to be replaced every two weeks.
Filter medium: sand or Polysphere
You fill the filter vessel of the Flowclear with filter sand or polysphere. These are not supplied as standard. This sand filter pump works with normal filter sand of 0.45 - 0.85 mm size (36 kg), but for optimal cleaning, this Bestway sand filter pump should be filled with 1 kg of Bestway Flowclear Polysphere.
With 6-way valve
The Bestway Flowclear sand filter pump is equipped with a 6-way valve. That means this filter pump has the following 6 positions:
- Filtering: water flows from top to bottom in the filter vessel (99% of the time)
- Backwashing: water flow from bottom to top in the filter vessel to rinse the filter material clean (when you notice reduced filtration/flow)
- Rinse: rinse away dirty water after backwashing
- Close: you close all inputs and outputs
- Waste: drain pool water directly to the sewer (when you want to lower the water level)
- Circulate: circulate water alone, without passing through the filter (almost essential when treating with chlorine shock, for e.g. green pool water)
Operation with built-in timer
This sand filter pump can be operated via a built-in timer. This allows you to simply leave the pump on. You set a time period of e.g. 8 hours when the pump pumps the pool water through the filter drum. This then happens automatically each time between the set times.
Easy to place and install
Place the sand filter pump below the water level at all times. This can be done simply along the pool. The two hoses supplied as standard are 3 meters long. Try to keep this maximum distance. (Please note that too long a distance will affect the pump capacity). The standard connection is 32 mm. Check to be sure this is the connection for your pool. With the included handy hose clamps and connectors you connect the hoses seamlessly to the inlets and outlets of the Bestway sand filter pump and pool. The included manual tells you exactly how to do this. Plus, this sand filter pump is pre-assembled for added convenience.
