Technology

Pool Cover Systems offers a complete range of shutter motors, both external electric and tubular motors as well as hydraulic drives for larger pools. This makes our products applicable to both private and large public pools.

High quality AISI 316L/316Ti stainless steel is used for all stainless steel components. To complete the technical picture, the Pool Cover Systems roller shutter control can be perfectly integrated into the home automation system you already have in your home or can be connected to the intelligent pool control.

Lammellen

The slats are the most important part of a roller shutter. We have 2 different types of slats: the standard profile 60 x 14 mm with 3 sealed air chambers and the wider premium profile 67.5 x 16.5 mm with 4 sealed air chambers.

The former is available in PVC and polycarbonate, the wider profile only in polycarbonate. In addition, our slats are safe, insulating, durable and made from high-quality raw materials. They are available in 9 different colors so you can always choose a slat to match the look and feel of your pool, patio and garden.

Tri-extusion

To produce AquaTop slats, we use the process of tri-extrusion. This provides the slats with a UV-resistant layer. This makes the polycarbonate slats much more UV-resistant and increases their lifespan by as much as 50%.

Polycarbonate slats are also much more resistant to higher and lower temperatures than their PVC variant. This makes them usable in different countries regardless of climate.

Impact resistance

Polycarbonate slats are much more impact resistant than PVC slats. We have all our slats tested in Switzerland, where it is compulsory to test all outdoor materials for resistance to hail. AquaTop polycarbonate slats achieve HW 3, which means 100% hail resistance against hail balls up to 30 mm in diameter.

The wider anti-algae profile even achieves a mechanical resistance HW4 or hail balls 40mm in diameter! This not only means that our slats are highly resistant, they are also safe and durable.

Hollow or full slats?

AquaTop slats are profiles with air chambers that provide greater buoyancy than full slats. In terms of insulating effect they are on a similar level but with a hollow slat you can opt for solar effect which is out of the question with a full slat.

In addition, our "premium clean profile" in polycarbonate offers high impact and thus hail resistance, combined with solar and anti-algae effect. With the "premium clean profile" you are buying the best available technology on the market!

Seal

The sealing of the slats is done with a cap that is either glued or ultrasonically welded. For slats with welded end caps, we have snap parts in different widths that allow small deviations in the pool width to be accommodated.

Innovations

Coverwash

The shutter controller puts into operation a system with high-pressure pump and special nozzles. Each time the shutter opens or closes, this system cleans the slats. The cover always remains clean and lime deposits are minimal. So you hardly need to think about maintenance yourself. What a comfort!

Toplock

Safety first! An AquaTop roller shutter can be equipped with a Toplock. With this system, the shutter automatically locks itself when it is fully closed.
TopLock is a reliable system. The shutter control switches a compressor that opens the lock. When the pressure drops, the lock closes with a spring.

Alu look slats

The polycarbonate slats are available in transparent, solar and aluminum look. With the latter, you still enjoy the solar effect and condensation is also less visible.

Ultrasonic welding process

Pool Cover Systems is gradually switching to ultrasonically welded end caps. In addition to increased quality, reliability and durability, welded end caps also provide a perfect finish and a modern look.

Integrated covers

SCUBA-S-1100

When you choose a built-in roller shutter, this built-in version is the most "classic" version. Neatly built into the back of the pool in a roller shutter niche built for that purpose. You can choose the finish: wood, composite or stone. A stainless steel or aluminum beam is provided as standard. Also for pools with a high water level we have a solution with this version thanks to the specially adapted brackets with guide wheels.

Scuba-S-2000

Want a sleek pool? Then choose a concealed roller shutter in the back of your pool in an underwater niche. Thanks to a false wall in combination with a sloping recess, no dirt can accumulate at the bottom. You can choose how you want to finish the partition: with liner, mosaic, natural stone tiles or vinylester in the desired color.
