Effective filtration thanks to side-mount sand filter
The W'eau SPP sand filter is a side mount filter. Unlike the TPE sand filters (top mount), the 6-way valve of a side mount sand filter is not mounted on the top, but on the side of the filter. With a side mount sand filter, the water is better distributed throughout the sand bed making filtration more efficient and effective. Also, a sand filter with a side mount connection is a lot easier to maintain. This is partly due to the air vent and the transparent filter lid that allows you to easily look into the filter without having to open it. handy!
Expanded functions thanks to 6-way faucet
The W'eau SPP filter is equipped with a convenient 6-way valve. That means this filter has the following 6 positions:
- Filtering; water flows from top to bottom in the filter vessel (99% of the time)
- Backwash; water flows from bottom to top of filter vessel to rinse filter material clean (when you notice reduced filtration/flow)
- Rinse; rinse away dirty water after backwashing
- Close; you close all inputs and outputs
- Waste; flushing the pool water directly to the sewer system
- Circulate; this is especially important when you suffer from green water and want to treat it
