Description

Waterco rotor glued with spider (5 spoke), part 6214582

If your six-way valve (multiport valve) is no longer sealing properly and water is leaking to the wrong port during filtration, the cause is often the rotor and its associated spider gasket. This is the original Waterco rotor with product code 6214582, where the 5-spoke rotor is already neatly bonded to the spider gasket. This allows you to replace the entire sealing assembly of your valve in one go, without having to fiddle with separate parts.

This part is the diverter seal that forms the core of the MK2 clamp-type multiport valve (1½” / 50 mm class). This valve is found on the Waterco Exotuf filters E400, E500, and E600, as well as on the Exotuf Plus series (E600 Plus, E602 Plus, and E702 Plus). When you turn the valve lever to Filter, Backwash, or Rinse, it is this spider that ensures the water flows only in the direction you intend. If the spider is worn, dented, or hardened, you lose that separation, and you’ll notice it immediately in the form of poorer filtration or leaking rinse water.

When should you consider replacing it?

Do you experience issues such as water that keeps draining during backwashing, a valve that seems to leak in multiple positions at once, or debris that ends up back in the pool even after filtering? If so, the spider gasket usually needs to be replaced. Since the rotor and spider come pre-glued from the factory, you don’t have to worry about proper positioning: simply put the entire assembly back in place (position 4 in the valve), and your seal will be as good as new.

Please note that this is the MK2 clamp version. Not sure if your valve is this type, or want to make sure this part fits your specific filter? Feel free to let me know, and I’ll help you check so you get exactly the right part.

Why Choose an Original Waterco Part

With an original Waterco part, you can be sure that the dimensions and fit are compatible with the rest of your valve. Especially with a sealing component like this, that’s what makes the difference between a valve that’s watertight again and one that keeps leaking. At Pool.shop, we’re happy to help you get your Exotuf filter running reliably again, so you can enjoy clear swimming water without any hassle.
