Description
Universal probe holder PSS8
Do you want your pH and Redox readings to be truly accurate? Then it all starts with where you place your probes. The PSS8 universal probe holder from Seko is designed exactly for that purpose: a transparent housing that keeps your measuring probes and ground probe neatly together in a calm area of the water where measurements aren’t disrupted by air bubbles or turbulence.
I highly recommend this probe holder as an addition to the Pool Basic Evo Redox, but it’s very versatile. Since it can hold up to three electrodes (a true triple-electrode design), you have everything in one organized spot, and your setup remains neat and reliable.
Why not just attach it directly to the pipe?
That’s the question I get asked most often. The answer: there’s flow, pressure, and sometimes air in the pipe itself—all factors that cause your readings to fluctuate. The PSS8 diverts the water into a still chamber, placing the probes in a turbulence-free environment. The result is a more stable, more accurate reading than when you place the electrodes directly in the pipe. In addition, the housing protects the sensitive electrical components of the electrode from contamination in the water and other system parts.
What do you get delivered?
The PSS8 comes as a complete set, so you can get started right away. The box contains the probe holder with a transparent cup, two Ø 50 mm mounting brackets, 4 meters of PVC hose (8×12 mm), two 1/2″ valves, and two 1/2″ – 8×12 mm adapters. Thanks to the transparent PVC cup, you can see at a glance whether everything is flowing properly and whether your probes are submerged correctly.
For which pools is this ideal?
The PSS8 really comes into its own wherever reliable, consistent measurements are important. Think of hotels, fitness centers, heated pools, and, in general, any pool with a high filtration capacity. It’s precisely at those higher flow rates that you’ll notice how much smoother and more stable your readings become once the probes are suspended in a separate, calm zone.
A practical tip
The probe holder is made of durable, moisture-resistant PVC, ensuring a long service life. Please note that the PSS8 itself is a mechanical component: its measurement range and accuracy are determined by the pH, Redox, or temperature probes you insert into it.
