Design from Finland
Brita Flander (born 1957) is a Finnish designer best known for her harmonious and timeless lamps and glass designs. During her long career, Flander has collaborated with well-known Finnish brands such as Skanno, Artek and Marimekko and has designed objects for the Stockmann department store in Helsinki and Mäntyniemi, the official residence of the President of Finland, among others. Flander's work is included in the collections of both Finnish and international museums, including the National Museum of Finland, the Design Museum of Helsinki, Musée des Arts Decoratifs de Louvre in Paris and the Corning Museum of Glass in the United States.
