Complete set (excluding filter media)
This filter set is ideal for both attached and built-in pools. The filter set comes complete with sand filter tank, pool pump, bottom plate, 6-way valve, plug (with built-in leakage current protection) and connecting materials. By default, these pumps are supplied with a connection for 38mm. Connecting the pool pump is very easy due to the included bottom plate.
Includes 6-way faucet
The Powerline sand filter set is equipped with a 6-way valve. That means this filter set has the following 6 positions:
- Filtering; water flows from top to bottom in the filter vessel (99% of the time)
- Backwash; water flows from bottom to top of filter vessel to rinse filter material clean (when you notice reduced filtration/flow)
- Rinse; rinse away dirty water after backwashing
- Close; you close all inputs and outputs
- Waste; drain pool water directly to the sewer (when you want to lower the water level)
- Circulate; allowing water to flow around alone, without passing through the filter (virtually essential when treating with chlorine shock, in green pool water, for example
Filter medium: sand, glass or polyethylene spheres
You fill the filter vessel of the Hayward Powerline with filter sand, filter glass or polyethylene balls. This is not supplied as standard. Filter sand is traditionally the most commonly used, is the cheapest and needs to be replaced after about 5 years. Filter glass is a bit more effective, just a bit more expensive, but you need less and only need to replace it after 10 to 15 years.
