FlowVis flow meter 50mm - Dryden Aqua
Want to know exactly how much water is flowing through your pool system? Then the FlowVis flow meter from Dryden Aqua comes highly recommended. This smart meter with a 50 mm connection shows you at a glance how much water your pump is moving, so you can optimize your filtration settings. And the best part: it’s not just any flow meter, but a 2-in-1 solution with an integrated check valve.
I often see this product as the missing link in an installation. After all, you can’t properly adjust your pump until you can see what’s happening—and that’s exactly what the FlowVis gives you.
When you use it the most
The most important moment is right when you’re setting up your system. By reading the flow rate (from 2.4 to 21 m³/h on this model), you can perfectly adjust the pump speed to match your filter. This allows you to achieve maximum filtration results without wasting energy.
The FlowVis also proves its worth during backwashing: you can immediately see when the flow rate is high enough for effective backwashing, so you don’t waste water. And during daily use, a drop in flow rate quickly alerts you that your filter needs cleaning.
Smart design that just works
While many meters suffer from bouncing floats or stuck impellers, Dryden Aqua opts for a patented design with a valve that moves with the water flow. The angle at which the valve opens is proportional to the flow rate—ensuring that the reading remains stable and reliable, even when there is air in the system. The meter is NSF 50 (Level 1) certified with an accuracy of 98% or higher.
You can read the measurement in liters per minute (LPM), gallons per minute (GPM), and cubic meters per hour (m³/h), so no matter which unit you’re used to, you’ll be able to find your reading.
Easy to install, wherever it’s convenient for you
You don’t have to be an expert to install the FlowVis. Simply glue the Ø 50 mm female fitting into your piping—no calibration required. What I find especially convenient: you don’t need a straight pipe section before or after the meter. So you can mount it right next to other fittings and even install it horizontally, vertically, or upside down. Ideal if you’re short on space in the utility room.
Made to last
The FlowVis is built to last and, under normal use, will last 15 years or more. So you’re investing in a flow meter that will help you keep your pool, spa, or water feature running efficiently and economically for years to come. Not sure if this model fits your pipe diameter?
