How to use ChloorShock.
Before adding the chlorine granules to the pool, the pH level of your water should be up to par (between 7.2 and 7.6 pH). To do this, add pH-min or pH-plus if necessary. Dissolve the chlorine powder in a bucket of lukewarm water before distributing it evenly throughout the pool. Preferably open the container outdoors while out of the wind.
For a shock treatment, you need to add 3 to 4 measuring cups of 40 grams of chlorine granules per 10 m³ of water. For a regular maintenance treatment, you only need to add 1 measuring cup of 40grams per 10 m³. Ideally, you should add this to your pool after swimming or in the evening.
Also, make sure you filter the water after you add the chlorine. That way, the action of the chlorine in the pool will be more effective.
Check the chlorine level of your water regularly, preferably weekly. The ideal value is between 1 and 2 mg per liter of water (> 1ppm and < 2 ppm). For your check, use one of our test kits.
