Pool.shop after shiny start looking for investors for growth

GHENT, Nov. 23, 2021 - Sam De Decker took advantage of a boom in pool construction during the first lockdown to set up Pool.shop. That's an online store for pool products that makes tailored customer advice its trademark. To continue the success of its first year, Pool.shop plans to expand and offer a wider range of products. To realize these growth plans, the company launched a crowdfunding campaign with the Ghent investment platform WinWinner.

Advice strikes a chord

Pool.shop is the swimming pool specialist, a reliable supplier offering honest advice. According to founder Sam, this customer service was much needed in the swimming pool sector: "I want to provide our customers with products they really need through clear and honest advice. I always try to sell my products because they fit the customer's project," he explains.

That concept proved to be a hit: since last year, more than 6,500 orders with over 13,500 individual products have already left the door. In the summer, the shop was sending out 50 to 60 packages a day.

In addition to specific pool products, Pool.shop also offers wellness products and patio heaters. "We have included the wellness and 'around-the-pool' aspect in the assortment to bridge the winter period. So customers can also purchase fire bowls and patio heaters to enjoy their patio even on the coldest days," Sam says.

International ambition

Currently, Pool.shop delivers only in Belgium and the Netherlands. Even the domain name 'Piscine.shop', which was purchased with a view to later expansion into France and Luxembourg, already has daily orders in Wallonia. 'Wellness.shop' is also already in the waiting room. With this, the company intends to offer the wellness aspect that it already sells on its webshop through a separate domain name.

Ready for growth

After a successful start, Pool.shop is ready to grow. The company wants to broaden its offer and expand into France and Luxembourg through 'piscine.shop.' "To achieve all that, we need to invest in stock, more brands, new products and in warehouse expansion," Sam clarifies. "Those plans obviously require investments. That's why we launched a crowdfunding campaign at the investment platform WinWinner."

Through WinWinner, Pool.shop wants to raise a minimum of €50,000 and a maximum of €100,000. The counter currently stands at €12,000. Investing in Pool.shop's WinWinner campaign is possible until January 16, 2022. Find more information on the WinWinner platform.
