Complete set (excluding filter media)
This W'eau filter set is ideal for smaller set-up or built-in pools. The filter set comes complete with sand filter tank, pool pump, bottom plate, 6-way valve, plug (with built-in leakage current protection) and connecting materials. By default, these pumps are supplied with a connection for 50mm. Do you have a 32 or 38mm connection? No problem! Here you will find reducers handy reducers that will still allow you to use this filter set. Connecting the pool pump is very easy thanks to the included base plate. So you spend less time during installation and can enjoy a refreshing dip even faster!
With 6-way valve
The W'eau FPE-450 filter set is equipped with a convenient 6-way valve. That means this filter set has the following 6 positions:
- Filtering; water flows from top to bottom in the filter vessel (99% of the time)
- Backwash; water flows from bottom to top of filter vessel to rinse filter material clean (when you notice reduced filtration/flow)
- Rinse; rinse away dirty water after backwashing
- Close; you close all inputs and outputs
- Waste; flushing the pool water directly to the sewer system
- Circulate; this is especially important when you suffer from green water and want to treat it
Material W'eau FPE
The sand filter vessel of the W'eau FPE is made of polyethylene. As a result, the filter vessel can withstand a maximum working pressure of 2 bar. This makes it slightly less strong than its big brother; the FPP sand filter set can withstand a maximum working pressure of 2.5 bar. Naturally, he really regrets this, but we think they are both very good. Well, brothers to brothers.
Filter medium; sand or glass
You fill the filter vessel of the W'eau FPE with filter sand or glass. This is not included as standard with this set. Filter sand is generally used the most because it is the cheapest option and only needs to be replaced after 5 years. Filter glass is a bit more expensive but more effective. You also need less of it and filter glass lasts 10 to 15 years. Which of the two you go for is entirely up to you, you get nice fresh water in return anyway!
