Pool Line Checker photometer for alkalinity
Alkalinity ensures that pH values in a bath do not fluctuate too much, which is important for proper disinfectant action of free chlorine. The recommended concentration is 80 to 120 mg/l CaCO3. Too low an alkalinity will cause the pH to fluctuate very much, while too high an alkalinity will make the pH difficult to correct. Developed as a more accurate alternative to chemical test kits, the Hanna Instruments Checkers offer fast, accurate results in four simple steps. The checker photometers are designed to fit perfectly in the palm and pocket, while the large LCD is easy to read. The automatic shut-off feature extends battery life.
