Hanging the patio heater from a ceiling
The unit should be hung from a concrete ceiling. Do not hang it from a ceiling made of wood, plaster or any other material! The mounting hardware and fire safety measures are not designed for that.
- Find a ceiling location that meets all requirements.
- Drill a hole with a diameter of 8mm and sufficient depth.
- Insert the supplied jackhammer bolt with suspension eye into the hole; secure it by turning the eye clockwise and check that the eye is firmly screwed into the jackhammer bolt, that bolt-with-eye is immovably tight and that the assembly is capable of supporting at least 10 kg.
- Attach the suspension chain to the unit with the screw fastener.
- Hook a carabiner to the ring of the suspension chain.
- Use the carabiner to hang the unit from the suspension eye, keeping the unit 50 cm from the ceiling.
- Check that the carabiner closes properly.
Hanging from a frame (of a tent, for example)
Provide an attachment point from which the unit can hang freely down and which is sturdy enough to carry the heater without difficulty. Secure it immovably so that it cannot drop, slide, slide or otherwise move.
- Find a place in the frame that meets all requirements.
- Use the additional attachment chain with one carabiner on each side for attachment:
- Hook the additional chain with the one carabiner to the ring of the suspension chain attached to the unit.
- Wrap the attachment chain around the frame several times.
- Then also hook the second carabiner to the ring of the suspension chain; this will keep the device 50 cm away from the frame.
- Check that the carabiners close properly and that the device hangs immovably. It must not be able to slide, drop, slip or the like!
