Peristaltic hose for Pool Basic / Hayward Aqua Rite
The peristaltic hose in an automation ensures that a product is properly aspirated - this via vacuum pulling through the wheel. On the peristaltic hose there are always 2 nipples included, one side is for the suction line and the second for the delivery line.
How do you know if the hose needs replacement?
If the product is no longer adequately sucked in from the water bottle, the hose has become too flexible, preventing vacuum action. We recommend replacing it. We also always recommend changing the peristaltic hoses every year to avoid problems during the pool season.
How to replace this:
- Use protective clothing (goggles + gloves).
- Remove the intake line (flexible bowel coming from the water bottle).
- Use the priming function on your Pool Basic to empty the bowel ('+' or '-' held down).
- Next, remove the weir pipe.
- Turn off the device (there is a button on the right side).
- Remove the plastic protective cap by unscrewing the 2 screws.
- Remove the peristaltic hose (you may manually turn the wheel).
- Insert the new hose (pay close attention to the shape of the connections that they fit properly in the holder).
- Before installing the intake line (left) and the thrust line (right) - remove the first inch of hose.
- When both intestines are connected you may replace the plastic protective cap.
