AquaSphere Signal UV-C lamp saltwater 75 watt
When chlorine is added to pool water, it can start to bind to body fluids, for example, creating chloramines. These can cause irritated skin or stinging eyes during swimming. UV-C lamps are a valuable addition to the technical area of a salt- or chlorine-based swimming pool since UV-C technology breaks down chloramines. This ensures safer pool water during swimming. Also, if too little chlorine is used, pool water can quickly turn green. The UV-C technology of this lamp provides a larger buffer in the pool water, so the water stays clean and clear longer.

Maintenance of the Aquasphere Signal UV-C lamp saltwater 75 watts
The built-in UV Lamp provides full UV-C output for an average of 9000 burning hours. After this, it can easily be replaced to maintain full output. However, this is not necessary immediately as the UV-C output of the lamp remains at 80% after the 9000 hours. You can also choose to replace the UV lamp at a later date. The Signal series of AquaSphere has the advantage that the life time status of the built-in UV lamp can be easily read from the LED timer on the UV-C lamp. When this is green it means that the UV lamp is still in good working order. When this green light begins to blink, the lamp needs replacement. If the light turns red, then the UV lamp is at the end of its service life. Once the UV lamp has been replaced, the LED timer can be reset and the life span is tracked again.
