What makes this set so practical is the combination of two types of test strips in one pack. With the AquaChek strips you check the key values of your water in one go, while the ShockChek strips tell you exactly when a shock treatment is needed. This way you know not only whether your water is balanced, but also when you need to take action.
In practice, this saves a lot of guesswork. You dip a strip in, wait a moment and compare the colours with the chart on the pack. Within half a minute you know where you stand.
All-in-one check of your water balance
These strips measure free chlorine (DPD 1), pH value, alkalinity and stabiliser (cyanuric acid) all at once. This combination is important: good pH and alkalinity ensure your chlorine can do its job optimally, while the stabiliser prevents the chlorine from breaking down too quickly in the sun. By keeping an eye on these values together, you keep your water clear and avoid unnecessary use of chemicals.
Knowing when a shock treatment is needed
The ShockChek strips are the handy extra in this set. They indicate whether your combined chlorine is rising too high, which is often the cause of a chlorine smell or stinging eyes. If you see it's time for a shock, you treat in a targeted way instead of guessing. This keeps your pool or spa fresh without overdosing.
Suitable for chlorine and salt water
Whether you have a classic chlorine pool, a salt water system, a chlorine spa or a salt spa: these test strips are suitable. With 60 measurements per pack, you have more than enough for a whole season to regularly check your water.
How to use the strips
Testing is entirely manual and very simple. Briefly dip the strip in your pool or spa water, take it out immediately and compare the colour change with the colour chart on the pack. The measurement precision is perfectly suited for your daily or weekly check, so you can quickly adjust where needed.
