Description
AquaChek is the test strip in the pool world for testing your pool water. With the AquaChek 4 in 1 you have the option to test 4 different parameters at once; pH / total alkalinity / free chlorine / stabiliser. These 4 values are the most important values to keep your pool water healthy.
- Faster result than with digital testers
- Considerably cheaper than other pool testers
- Contains no less than 50 test strips so you can go on for quite a while
Instructions for use
Dip the stick into the pool water and compare the colours with the back of the pot. This allows you to compare the colours to display the appropriate value.
Please note: the stick is no longer usable after 30 seconds. We recommend not testing the pool water in the sun and also dipping the stick deeper than 20 cm. The sun has a major influence on water quality and so the top layer of the water may give a distorted picture.
Which values can you measure with the AquaChek 4 in 1?
pH value
The neutral pH value is 7.2. The pH value can be influenced by sunlight so never take a measurement in the afternoon. We recommend doing this in the morning or evening in order to get the exact pH value. The pH value can be adjusted with pH plus or pH minus.
Free chlorine value
The free chlorine in your pool is the actively working chlorine. This value should be roughly between 1 and 3 ppm. A chlorine shock every week to kill all bacteria is a must. This way you can combine chlorine tablets with chlorine granules.
Alkalinity
The alkalinity is the basis of healthy pool water. This value should have a minimum of 80. If it is lower than 80, you can add an alkalinity-increasing product. Rain causes this value to drop, while mains water causes it to rise.
Stabiliser
The stabiliser value indicates the chemical contamination. If the stabiliser value is higher than 100, we recommend emptying the pool, cleaning it with suitable products and refilling it.
