Which pools is this pump suitable for?
The Badu Magic II/11 is recommended for pools up to 56 m³, depending on the resistance within your system. The pump performs optimally at average hydraulic resistance, making it ideal for systems with medium-length pipework (approximately 5 to 10 metres) and slight height differences. Are you working with longer pipework or a more complex system? Then a more powerful option such as the Speck Badu Top is worth considering.
Maximum pool capacity per resistance type:
- Low resistance: up to 64,000 litres
- Average resistance: up to 56,000 litres
- High resistance: up to 36,000 litres
Important features and benefits
A major advantage of this pool pump is the option to connect it to a frequency controller. This allows the pump to run at different speeds, contributing to lower energy consumption.
The pump features a transparent lid on the filter basket, so you can see at a glance when it's time to empty it. Please note that the filter basket is on the compact side, so you will need to clean it a bit more often. The pump is also salt water resistant and has limited external control, meaning it can only be switched on/off via a specific control unit or power supply. The thermal protection ensures the motor switches off automatically in the event of overheating – an extra layer of safety.
Connecting the pool pump
The standard connection for this pump is 50 mm, but reducers for 32 and 38 mm pipework are also included. The pump is supplied complete with a plug, so you can connect and use it straight away without any additional accessories.
