Description
Aquareva bottom drain – sand/beige
The bottom drain is a small component that you'll hardly notice in practice, but which plays an important role in the circulation of your pool water. This Aquareva bottom drain in a warm sand/beige colour ensures that the water keeps moving at the bottom of the pool too, so that dirt sinking to the bottom is neatly carried off towards your filter system.
A handy feature of this version is that it's built extra low. As a result, it barely protrudes and forms no obstacle on the bottom of your pool — you won't bump into it, and it's visually almost unnoticeable, especially in combination with a light or beige liner.
Where and when do you use it?
You place a bottom drain at the deepest point or centrally on the bottom of your pool, exactly where heavier dirt such as sand, hair and sediment collects. By including it in your pipework circuit, you draw that dirt, together with the surface water from the skimmer, towards the filter. Especially for built-in and masonry pools, this is the way to also get the bottom layer of water circulating, which noticeably improves water quality.
Easy to connect
The bottom drain has both a side outlet and a bottom outlet, so you can choose the direction that best suits your pipework. You can effortlessly connect a 50 mm or 63 mm pipe to either connection, which matches the most common sizes in pool technology. This way, you can integrate it seamlessly into a new installation or when renovating your existing circuit.
Material and finish
The drain is made of high-quality ABS, a strong plastic that is highly resistant to water and chlorine and retains its shape and colour for years. The sand/beige shade is a subtle, natural choice that blends in beautifully with light-coloured pools. Would you prefer a different colour that better matches your liner? This bottom drain is available from us in eight different colours, so you can always match it to the rest of your pool.
