Description
Sugar Valley Oxilife OX3 electrolysis (up to 200m3)
Do you want to swim in water that feels soft, does not smell of chlorine and still stays reliably clean? Then the Sugar Valley Oxilife OX3 is a wonderful solution. This is a smart water treatment system that works on the basis of hydrolysis and salt chlorination with a very low salt content — you only need about 1 to 1.5 grams of salt per litre. By comparison: you can hardly taste that. The OX3 is suitable for pools up to 200 m³ (with water below 28 °C) and up to 130 m³ if your water is warmer.
Below, I would like to explain exactly how the system works and what you should pay attention to when choosing or installing it.
What makes hydrolysis so special?
The power of the Oxilife lies in hydrolysis. This splits water molecules, creating powerful oxidants such as hydroxide radicals, atomic oxygen, ozone and hydrogen peroxide. These disinfect within a few seconds and then revert back to plain water — so no unpleasant by-products are left behind, as is the case with traditional chlorination. In addition, the system also produces a small amount of sodium hypochlorite, so you still maintain a slight residual effect in the pool. The result: clear, healthy and pleasant water.
Smart self-cleaning salt cell
The salt cell of the OX3 is truly intelligent. It measures for itself whether there is enough salt in the pool. If so, it operates on salt chlorination; if there is too little salt for a moment, it automatically switches to pure hydrolysis. This way, your water is always treated, without you having to constantly intervene. In addition, the cell is self-cleaning, which prevents limescale build-up and benefits its lifespan.
More than just water treatment
A nice bonus is the built-in device control. Via the OX3, you can control up to four devices, such as your pool pump, the lighting or a slatted cover. This way, the Oxilife becomes the beating heart of your pool technology. Want to go a step further? Then there are optional pH and Redox sensors with a self-cleaning function, plus the option to operate the system remotely. Handy if you like to keep everything neatly automated and measurable.
Practical points to consider when choosing
When choosing, pay close attention to the maximum pool volume in combination with your water temperature: if you heat your pool considerably, work with the 130 m³ limit instead of 200 m³. The standard connection is 63 mm, so check whether that fits your current pipework. The unit operates on 230 V AC — if in doubt, always have the electrical connection carried out by a professional.
Also give some thought to the version: do you choose the basic version, or go straight for the set with pH and Redox sensors? With these sensors, the system automatically keeps your water values in balance, saving you a lot of manual measuring and correcting. Not sure which variant best suits your situation? At Pool.shop, I'm happy to help you make the right choice.
