The Hayward SuperPump SP1611 is one of the most reliable pool pumps on the market and is known for its durability and long-lasting performance. This pump operates at a fixed speed and is designed for installation above the water level. The SuperPump performs optimally in pool systems with average resistance, where the distance between the pump and the pool is between 5 and 10 metres. Thanks to the powerful motor, it is also possible to connect a pool vacuum cleaner, which then functions without any problems. This pump is an excellent choice for pools up to 66 m³.
For which pools is the pump suitable?
The Hayward SuperPump SP1611 is particularly suitable for medium-sized pools with an average pipe run of 5 to 10 metres and limited height differences. Thanks to its stable operation and strong suction power, this pump is also ideal for use in combination with a manual vacuum cleaner.

Key functions and features
A major advantage of this pump is the possibility of connecting it to a frequency controller. This allows you to adjust the speed and save energy when maximum capacity is not required. The pump has limited external control, which means that operation generally takes place on the unit itself. The construction is sturdy and well thought out, with durable materials and a transparent lid for easy inspection of the filter basket. The filter basket has a generous capacity, so you need to empty it less often. In addition, the built-in thermal protection ensures that the pump switches off automatically in the event of overheating – making it a safe choice.
Installation and connection of the pump
No couplings are included upon purchase. Therefore, check the diameter of your pipework and order two 1.5” couplings for the suction and discharge sides. A plug is also not included as standard. For a safe and quick connection, it is advisable to order a suitable plug separately. This way, your pump is immediately ready for installation.
