Bestway Flowclear sand filter pump – 5.6 m³/h
With the Bestway Flowclear sand filter pump – 5.6 m³/h you keep your above-ground pool clean effortlessly. This sand filter pump is suitable for pools up to 12,000 litres and offers a design flow rate of 5.6 m³ per hour. This means the pump is ideal for pools with low hydraulic resistance. Please note: the pipework may be a maximum of 3 metres long. This pump is not designed for intensive vacuuming, but excels in ease of use thanks to the integrated 6-way valve. Below you can read what the various settings of this valve mean and how to make optimal use of them.

Effective filtering with sand or filter balls
The pump keeps the pool water continuously moving, which greatly reduces the chance of algae, bacteria or mould formation. Within approximately 4 hours (depending on the pool volume), all the water in the pool is fully filtered. This happens via a filter tank that you fill yourself with filter sand or filter balls. Sand is more effective here than cartridges: it stops much smaller dirt particles and only needs to be replaced every few years – whereas cartridges often need replacing after just two weeks.
The pump is suitable for:
- Fine filter sand (0.45 – 0.85 mm) – 36 kg
- Filter glass – 30.6 kg
- Bestway Polysphere – 1.0 kg
These filter media are not included.
Equipped with a 6-way valve
The built-in 6-way valve provides versatility in use. You can choose from the following settings:
- Filter: standard setting, water flows from top to bottom through the filter
- Backwash: water flows from bottom to top to clean the filter material
- Rinse: rinses away dirty water after backwashing
- Close: shuts off all water flows
- Waste: drains water directly to the sewer (for example, when lowering the water level)
- Circulate: allows water to circulate without filtering, ideal when treating with chlorine shock
Built-in timer for automatic operation
Thanks to the built-in timer, you can easily set when the pump should run automatically. This keeps your pool water clean, even if you don't keep an eye on it yourself all the time. You determine the time interval yourself, for example 8 hours per day, after which the pump automatically starts filtering at the set times.
Easy to place and connect
Always place the pump below the water level, for example next to the pool or in a technical room. The supplied 3-metre hoses are optimal for this installation. Longer hoses can negatively affect pump performance.
You can connect to:
- 38 mm threaded hoses
- 32 mm valves with the supplied adapter
With the supplied couplings and hose clamps, you can connect everything securely and leak-free. The pump is also delivered pre-assembled and is easy to install using the clear instructions.
