Description

AquaForte Mini heat pump MC 5kW

Would you like to enjoy your above-ground pool for longer without being put off by the water? Then the AquaForte Mini heat pump MC with 5 kW output is exactly what you are looking for. This compact heat pump brings your pool water to a comfortable temperature and has been specially developed for pools up to around 25 m³. Thanks to its sturdy metal housing and modern, sleek design, it also looks neat next to your pool or patio.

At Pool.shop, we are happy to recommend this Mini to anyone with a frame pool or a smaller in-ground pool who wants to extend the season — from early spring to late autumn.

When should you use it?

On the first warm spring days, the water is often still too cool to jump into. If you switch on the heat pump in the morning, you'll be swimming in pleasantly warmed water later in the day. Even in late summer, when the outdoor temperature drops at night, this Mini keeps your pool at the desired temperature. You can comfortably heat up to 40°C, so it's also perfectly suited for a spa or hot tub when you want the water just a bit warmer.

Efficient heating, day in day out

A heat pump simply extracts heat from the outside air and converts it into heat for your water using very little electricity. Under favourable conditions, this MC 5kW achieves a COP value of up to 5.58, and even at cooler air temperatures of 15°C still 4.3. In practice, this means: for every kilowatt of electricity you put in, you get back a multiple of that in heat. With a power consumption of just 0.896 kW, your heating costs remain nicely under control, even if you run it daily.

Easy to connect and use

You don't need to be an installer to get this heat pump up and running. With the 32/38 mm hose connections, you can quickly connect it to your existing filter system, and thanks to the plug & play principle, it works on a standard 220-240V household power supply. Air is drawn in at the sides and blown out at the back, so bear this in mind when positioning it, for good airflow.

Quiet, smart and reliable

You naturally don't want to hear a heat pump that runs all day. This Mini operates remarkably quietly for its class, so you can enjoy your garden undisturbed. What's special in this segment is the automatic defrost function, which ensures the pump keeps running efficiently even in cooler conditions without ice forming. The built-in flow switch also monitors the water flow, so the pump only heats when water is actually flowing through it.

FAQ

How do I connect a pool heat pump?

You connect a heat pump for your pool to the return pipe of your filter system, so that the heated water flows back into the pool. Installation usually takes place between the sand filter and the jets. Ensure the correct pipe diameter, preferably use PVC and install a bypass so that you can easily switch the heat pump on or off. Always have the electrical connection carried out by a professional for safe operation.

Where should I place my heat pump?

It is best to place your heat pump outside in a well-ventilated location, preferably as close as possible to the pool or technical installation to limit losses in the pipework. Make sure there is sufficient free space around the heat pump (at least 50 cm on the sides and 1 metre at the front) for good air circulation. Place the heat pump on a stable, level surface and avoid enclosed spaces or corners where warm air can accumulate. This way, the heat pump works more efficiently and lasts longer.
