W’eau solar ball – up to 10 m3
Do you want to warm up your pool in a sustainable way without seeing your energy bill rise? Then the W’eau solar ball is a smart and affordable solution. This round solar collector simply uses the power of the sun to make your pool water a few degrees warmer. You place the ball next to your pool and connect it to your existing pool pump – the water flows through the ball, heats up in the sun and then returns nicely warmed to your pool.
For a pool of around 2,000 litres and a day with approximately 10 hours of sunlight, one solar ball can already achieve a temperature increase of around 4 degrees. A nice difference that makes the swimming season just a bit more pleasant and longer.
How to get the most out of your solar ball
The secret lies in the sun. Place the ball in a spot where it catches as much direct sunlight as possible, without shade from a fence, bushes or the pool itself. The more hours of sun, the bigger the difference you'll notice in the water. Let your pump run during the sunny hours of the day – that way the water circulates at the moment the ball is working hardest.
The W’eau solar ball has a standard connection of 32/38 mm, which means it fits perfectly on most filter pumps of above-ground pools. Weighing just 3 kg and measuring 60 x 23 x 60 cm, it is light and easy to place or store away after the season.
Connectable for extra heating power
Do you have a somewhat larger pool or want to bring the water up to temperature faster? Then it's good to know that you can connect several solar balls together. Each extra ball increases the heating capacity. For a normal season (May to August), we recommend one ball for pools up to approximately 7 m³, while you can use it in total for pools up to a maximum of 10 m³. So if you want to properly heat a larger or deeper pool, simply combine a few balls.
What to bear in mind
Good to know: this solar ball heats naturally and has no automatic temperature control. The water heats up as long as the sun shines and the pump runs. On cloudy days, the effect is therefore smaller – after all, it remains solar energy. The ball is made of sturdy black polyethylene (PE), a material that retains heat well and is resistant to wind and weather.
