Fast and accurate measuring with the Lovibond Scuba 2
To test, the integrated sample opening must be filled by submerging it in the water. If the Scuba II falls into the water, it simply floats, as the device is naturally waterproof. By adding a reagent tablet, a characteristic colour is generated, which can be measured using the photometric principle. The result is then displayed on the large display (3 x 2.2 cm), which makes it easier to read the measured values.
How to use?
At the top of the Scuba II digital water tester there is a compartment that you need to fill with the water you wish to test. Thanks to the tester's waterproof design, you can simply scoop the water straight out of the pool.
Then close this compartment and press ZERO/TEST. This performs a zero-point measurement.
Use the MODE button to select the parameter you want to test. Add the correct tablet to the water and dissolve it using the stirring rod. Close the compartment again and press ZERO/TEST once more.
Within 15 seconds, you can read the value on the screen. Then rinse out the tester and dry it to maintain the device as well as possible.
The measurement is based on photometric principles. Adding the tablet gives the water a characteristic colour. This allows the tester to quickly determine the correct result.
