Description
Waterproof Portable pH/mV/ORP/Temperature Meter with DIN Connection with pH/ORP Electrode
Do you want to know not only the pH of your water, but also the ORP value and the temperature — all with one handy meter? Then this Hanna Instruments HI991003 is a real recommendation. It is the first meter that measures pH, pH-mV, ORP and temperature with just one probe. Convenient, because you don't need to switch between different instruments and you get a complete picture of your water quality at a glance.
The meter comes complete with a robust carrying case and a titanium pH/ORP electrode with built-in temperature sensor, so you can get started immediately.
What can you measure with it?
This meter is surprisingly versatile. The pH range runs from -2.00 to 16.00 with a resolution of 0.01 pH and an accuracy of ±0.05 pH. It also measures pH-mV up to ±825 mV, ORP up to ±1999 mV and temperature from -5.0 to 105.0 °C. The large multi-level LCD screen shows pH/pH-mV/ORP and temperature simultaneously, including indicators for calibration and stability. This way, you can be sure your measurement is reliable.
Why a titanium electrode?
The included electrode has a titanium housing, and that's not without reason. Titanium is resistant to many aggressive chemicals, making this meter suitable for more demanding applications such as electroplating baths and chemical processes. In addition, the titanium housing acts as a matching pin: together with the built-in amplifier, this reduces the influence of electrical noise on the sensitive pH measurement. The result is a more stable, more accurate reading.
How do I know if my electrode is still in good condition?
A valid question, as a worn electrode gives unreliable measurements. That's why the HI991003 has the handy Sensor Check™ function. It shows the slope and offset of your sensor, so you can see whether the electrode is still in good condition before you take a measurement. This way, you avoid surprises and always measure with confidence.
Ease of use
This meter is deliberately kept simple. It's operated using just two buttons, and thanks to automatic calibration, buffer recognition and temperature compensation, the meter takes a lot of work off your hands. You connect the probe with a Quick Connect DIN connector: simply push it in, no twisting, and sealed watertight thanks to the rubber coating. The compact device literally fits in the palm of your hand, and thanks to the bottom connection, the cable is never in the way.
For which applications?
Thanks to the robust titanium electrode and wide measuring range, this meter is ideal for demanding environments, from electroplating baths to wastewater and chemical production. But even if you simply want to keep precise control over the water values in and around your pool or system, this Hanna Instruments meter offers you everything you need in one reliable instrument.
