Description
Spectra DVS RGB, Ø170mm
Do you want to really bring your pool to life in the evening? Then the Spectra DVS RGB with a diameter of 170 mm is a wonderful choice. This underwater floodlight from the Belgian House of DURATECH colours your water in any desired shade and creates an atmosphere you'll love sitting beside in the evening. With 2450 lumens, you get a generous, even light output that fills the entire pool.
Below, I'm happy to summarise what makes this lamp so special and what you should pay attention to when purchasing it.
What makes this lamp technically so strong?
The secret lies in the construction. House of DURATECH fills the housing completely with resin, so no air remains inside the lamp. In practice, this means no leakage and no condensation for years — a problem you often see with cheaper lamps. An additional benefit: because there is no more internal light reflection, more light reaches the water. The polymer housing with high-quality glass finish is also resistant to salt chlorination, so you're also well covered with a saltwater system.
Colours and atmosphere
The RGB version gives you 11 fixed colour programmes to choose from. From calm blue for a serene evening to lively colour changes during a party: you set the atmosphere entirely to the moment. Thanks to the wide beam angle, the lamp illuminates your pool without shadows, so the water looks beautifully even and deep.
What should I pay attention to when connecting it?
The Spectra DVS RGB operates on 10-14 VAC (alternating current) and consumes a maximum of 32 Watts. Important to know: operation on direct current (DC) is not permitted, so you need a suitable transformer. The connection is made via a unique connector with 2-core wiring, which makes installation pleasantly straightforward. The lamp is IP68 and tested to a depth of 3 metres. Do bear in mind that the water temperature must not exceed +40°C and that the lamp must be kept out of frost zones.
Smart design and installation
The ultra-flat shape is not only attractive but also well thought out: you cannot stand on it to climb out of the pool, preventing overloading and damage. For this 170 mm size, a handy PAR56 niche retrofit solution is available, ideal if you want to replace an existing lamp. The Spectra DVS fits seamlessly within the DURAVISION system, with matching niches and rings.
For a fully operational installation, you combine the floodlight with a ring, a niche and a transformer. Not sure exactly which parts you need for your situation? At Pool.shop, I'm happy to help you put together the right combination.
