Replacement EC/TDS electrode for HI98311 and HI98312 (HI73311)
Do you notice that your EC or TDS tester is gradually becoming less reliable, or is the electrode worn out after intensive use? Then fortunately you don't need to buy a completely new measuring device straight away. With this original HI73311 replacement electrode from Hanna Instruments, you can get your HI98311 or HI98312 tester back up to scratch in no time.
This graphite electrode measures both conductivity (EC) and total dissolved solids (TDS) in your pool water, and is specially designed as an exact replacement for these two popular Hanna testers.
Built to last
The quality really lies in the choice of materials here. The body is made of polypropylene, a plastic that is excellently resistant to moisture and the chemical environment of pool and spa water. The measuring element itself consists of graphite: an amperometric probe that is much more robust than cheaper alternatives. It is precisely this graphite that ensures the electrode does not quickly deteriorate due to salt deposits in your sample, so your measurements remain accurate for longer.
Why graphite makes the difference
With conductivity measurements, contamination is the greatest enemy of accuracy. Salt deposits that build up on an ordinary electrode distort your readings. The graphite electrode of the HI73311 is much less sensitive to this, giving you more reliable results and meaning the electrode needs replacing less often. That means less maintenance for you and a longer lifespan for your investment.
Practical points to note
This electrode is only suitable for the Hanna HI98311 and HI98312 testers and is connected via a pin connector. Bear in mind a maximum pressure of 0.1 bar and an operating temperature between -5 and 50 °C. The probe does not have a built-in temperature sensor. If you use one of these testers, the HI73311 will fit without any hassle.
