Description
Replacement bulb PAR56 Lumiplus V1.11 RGB
Perhaps the best thing about this LumiPlus V1.11 is exactly what you don't see: the old, energy-guzzling 300W halogen bulb disappears and makes way for modern LED technology that uses up to 92% less power. That's precisely where the big difference lies in practice — you get atmospheric, colourful lighting in your pool, without your energy bill giving you a fright.
This RGB bulb directly replaces a conventional PAR56 halogen bulb and fits into virtually every underwater floodlight designed for it. Ideal, then, if you want to modernise your existing lighting, but equally suitable for a newly built pool.
Why switch to LED?
A halogen PAR56 bulb draws quite a lot of power and has a relatively short lifespan. This LumiPlus runs on just 22W (29VA) and still delivers 1100 lumens of bright light. Its lifespan is up to 100 times longer than halogen, so you're free from the hassle of replacing it for a long time to come. And with RGB, you choose your own colour: from calm blue to a fun, colourful party in the water.
Installation in a quarter of an hour
The clever thing about this bulb is that you can simply keep your existing wiring. Just like a PAR56 halogen bulb, it's powered by two wires at 12V AC via a safety transformer. In practice, you're often done within ten minutes. One important point: always replace the O-ring of the PAR56 during installation, so the seal is fully watertight again. And only switch the bulb on when it's completely submerged — the housing has protection class IPX8 and is specifically intended for underwater use.
How many bulbs do you need?
As a guideline, we recommend one lamp from the LumiPlus V1 series per 20 m² of water surface. Do you have a dark-finished pool or a stainless steel pool? Then allow for a few more lamps per square metre, as these surfaces absorb more light. This way, you'll maintain an even, atmospheric result throughout.
