Which pool is this filter suitable for?
I recommend the Azur 560 for pools up to approximately 48 m³, combined with a pump with a net capacity of around 12 m³/hour. The secret to clear water is not “as big as possible”, but the right balance between pump and filter tank. At this flow rate, the sand gets exactly enough time to hold onto dirt particles, while you still pump the entire pool around several times a day. If your pool is around 40 to 48 m³, this model is a perfect fit.
How finely does the Azur actually filter?
The Azur 560 filters out particles down to around 25 to 30 microns. That is fine enough to keep the water beautifully clear and fresh with normal use of filter sand. You fill the tank with approximately 120 kg of sand (the tank can hold up to around 126/140 kg), and that sand bed then does the real work. A major advantage of sand is that it lasts for years and is simple to maintain: a quick backwash and your filter is as good as new.
The 6-way valve in brief
The included 6-way valve determines where the water goes. In the filtering position, the water flows neatly through the sand bed. With backwashing (backwash) you flush away the accumulated dirt once the pressure rises. And with circulating you let the water circulate without sending it through the filter — very practical if, for example, you are applying a chlorine shock to water that has turned green. All settings are within easy reach on top of the tank.
Sturdily built to last for years
The filter tank is made of high-quality polyethylene. This makes it excellently resistant to the working pressure (up to 2.0 bar) and to wind and weather, so you can place it outside next to your installation without any worries. The plastic does not rust and continues to look good even after many seasons. With a height of 1,090 mm and a diameter of 560 mm, it fits into most plant rooms or filter housings.
