Determining amount of filter glass
Always check the recommended amount of filter media on the sand filter pump. Note that when using filter glass, you may subtract 15% from the indicated weight. So for example, if 100 kg of filter medium is recommended, use 85 kg of filter glass. If you need less than 100 kg, only filter glass with a fine structure is sufficient. If the requirement is more than 100 kg, we recommend using a combination of fine and coarse filter glass at a ratio of 5 to 1. For example, at 125 kg of filter glass, use 5 bags of fine filter glass (of 20 kg) and 1 and a quarter bags of coarse filter glass (of 20 kg). Note that the coarse filter glass is always placed at the bottom.
