Description
AquaChek Test Strips + ShockChek Test Strips
What makes this set so convenient is the combination of two types of test strips in one package. With the AquaChek strips, you can check your water’s most important parameters in a single step, while the ShockChek strips tell you exactly when a shock treatment is needed. This way, you’ll not only know whether your water is balanced, but also when you need to take action.
In practice, this eliminates a lot of guesswork. You dip a strip in the water, wait a moment, and compare the colors to the chart on the package. Within half a minute, you’ll know exactly where you stand.
All-in-one monitoring of your water balance
These strips measure free chlorine (DPD 1), pH, alkalinity, and the stabilizer (cyanuric acid) all at once. It’s precisely this combination that’s important: proper pH and alkalinity ensure that your chlorine can work optimally, while the stabilizer prevents the chlorine from breaking down too quickly in the sun. By monitoring these levels together, you keep your water clear and avoid unnecessary use of chemicals.
Knowing When a Shock Treatment Is Needed
The ShockChek strips are the handy extra in this set. They indicate whether your combined chlorine level is too high, which is often the cause of a chlorine odor or stinging eyes. If you see that it’s time for a shock treatment, you can treat the water specifically rather than just winging it. This keeps your pool or spa fresh without overdosing.
Suitable for both chlorine and saltwater
Whether you have a traditional chlorine pool, a saltwater system, a chlorine spa, or a saltwater spa, these test strips are suitable for all of them. With 60 tests per package, you’ll have more than enough to check your water regularly for an entire season.
How to use the strips
Testing is done entirely by hand and is very simple. Briefly dip the strip into your pool or spa water, remove it immediately, and compare the color change to the color chart on the packaging. The measurement accuracy is perfectly suited for your daily or weekly checks, allowing you to make quick adjustments as needed.
