Standard pool liners: the basis for every metal pool
A pool liner is much more than just a plastic bag that holds back the water. It is the protective inner layer of your pool, providing a smooth surface, beautiful water color and structure protection. A standard pool liner is designed for metal pools with a fixed size and corresponding wall height, such as steel wall pools 90, 120 or 150 cm high.
At Pool.shop, you'll find standard liners in various diameters and heights, always made of sturdy PVC. Most are blue in color - classic, bright and inviting - but there are also variants with a mosaic print or other finish.
Easy to install with a perfect fit
Standard liners come with a specific fastening method, usually in the form of an overhang profile or an overlap profile. With an overhang profile, you hang the liner over the top edge of the steel wall and attach it under the metal top rail. With an overlap profile, the liner is secured with a separate profile that is slid over the wall.
Both systems are easy to install, even for do-it-yourselfers without much experience. Just make sure they are well prepared: the surface must be clean and flat, and the liner is best installed in warm weather so that the material is more flexible.
Choose the right thickness for your use
Standard pool liners are usually 0.4 mm or 0.6 mm thick. For more intensive use or long-term installation, we recommend a thicker variant, such as 0.8 mm. The thicker the liner, the better the protection against cracks, UV radiation and wear and tear.
A thicker liner also feels more comfortable while swimming and stays in top condition longer, especially for outdoor pools that get a lot of sunlight.
