Lower your pH with pH minus. Adding disinfectants, such as chlorine, does make sense when the pH is too high, but you need much more. So too high a pH you notice mainly in the amount of chlorine you have to add. And if this persists for a long time, you feel it in your wallet as well; you have to buy more chlorine. Therefore, always make sure that the pH value fluctuates between 7.0 and 7.6. A pH value of 7.4 is perfect. How much pH minus do you need? With about 80g per 10m³ of water you lower the pH value by 0.1. So you can calculate how much you need in your situation. Benefit packs are also available.
